This is the eighth and final post in our series about the advantage of choosing a human illustrator for your creative project instead of artificial intelligence. Let’s explore how the human illustrator consistently delivers accurate (and amazing) output.

To ensure you, the client, are always delighted, the human illustrator is acutely aware that attention to detail, thoroughness, and implementing processes to maintain accuracy and high standards are critical. Several of the characteristics of the human brain underpinning consistency we have mentioned previously in this series. To support these complex systems, the brain boasts a reticular activating system that acts as a filter, thereby moderating levels of alertness and reducing distraction. In addition, the brain is also able to hold onto information over time through repeated practice and refinement, using a working memory that holds information for essential tasks – rather like a souped-up RAM.

You might recall that in part 5 we referred to the brain’s neuro-plasticity, being the ability to adapt over time as a response to experience and the environment, forming new networks to ensure high performance even as circumstances change – that means that your brain today is different from your brain this time next month or next year!

Exploring the functions of the brain to ensure accuracy and consistent is achieved is important, AND with the human illustrator there is also an emotional component. The human illustrator has a desire to please you, the client, with the work they create - a need to feel that what has been created, and the experience of doing so, has made a significant difference to you and your business. Call it customer service, passion or a drive for results, this need combined with the brain’s awesome skills in information management, make the human illustrator an impressive, creative powerhouse. Does AI care whether you are happy with what it produces?

At Inky Thinking the overwhelming majority of our clients are repeat clients, returning to us time and time again because they love what we create and how we do it. This is the result of both the combined brain power in the team AND the emotional investment we place into what we do. This could not be achieved by AI alone.

We hope you have found the series to be an informative adventure into the human brain and what it offers in comparison with AI. Thank you for joining us on this adventure. Please do comment and share with your network. Let’s keep the conversation going!
