We’re shining a light on one of our brilliant illustrators, diving into what inspires her, how she switches off and the work she is passionate about. Meet Becky.

"When I’m not illustrating, I like to indulge in a dance class or two! From belly dancing to Bachata or Heels classes, I love the flow and movement they involve – it helps me get out of my head and let my body do the talking! I’m also a sucker for a good book, a cosy blanket and a hot cuppa!
As an illustrator, I am motivated by storytelling in all its forms. I love how illustration can connect and unite teams and communities around a common goal or feeling. As a live illustrator, in particular, you get to be a part of the journey by documenting their story, and for that, I feel very privileged.
I love the supportive and fun community atmosphere that Tom and Esther have created at Inky Thinking. As a team of illustrators, we are always there to lend each other a helping hand with even the toughest arty questions! At Inky, we also work with the loveliest clients!
I really enjoyed the fast-paced M Group job in Leamington Spa, where we had 30 minutes to liaise with the team to create a poster based on their ideas. It was intense and against the clock, and it was nice to interact directly with the teams to create something they would later use in a Dragons’ Den-style pitch. It put my drawing and thinking skills to the test, and I loved the new challenge.
Clients can expect enthusiasm, curiosity, dedication and a big dose of colour (as I am rather partial to a bold printed frock) when working with me. I adapt to any challenge with confidence and a smile. I love to work collaboratively with clients to ensure the illustration lands well with their audience, and it brings me great pleasure to bring their visions to life."
