Storyboarding

Our client:

The Sheffield Treatment and Recovery Team (START), now known as Likewise, provides integrated support for Sheffield residents with drug and alcohol addiction, focusing on treatment, harm reduction, and recovery, working with both opiates (like heroin) and non-opiate substances (like cocaine, cannabis) to help people achieve independence. They offer assessments, tailored treatment plans, and support for ongoing recovery and work closely with Sheffield Health Partnership NHS Trust.

What our client needed:

Our client needed to enter into a bidding process to retain the contract to provide these essential services to the people of Sheffield. Their desire was to add a differentiating element to their bid in the form of an engaging storyboard to summarise the service user experience.

How we worked with the client:

This was a highly collaborative effort between the client team and Inky Thinking. Tom and Daisy spent time with the team, facilitating a workshop to visually map out the key stages of the service user journey and their respective impacts on individual wellbeing. This mapping exercise was not only helpful to start creating the image but also provided essential information for the bid document itself.

Daisy set to work drafting the graphic, ensuring that the client was engaged at all stages of the process. It was essential to ensure that, in addition to the physical process steps, the emotional aspects of the service user’s journey were captured effectively.

The result:

The storyboard graphic was presented with the client’s bid to continue its service provision, and the bid was successful!

We had a brilliant day working with Inky Thinking who captured all our thoughts and ideas around our new service model and really brought our bid to life!”
